Abstract:
Fertilizer form could influence soil adsorption and fixation, thus the availability to tobacco plants.Pot experiments were conduced to study the effects of fertilizer forms on growth and nutrient uptake of flue-cured tobacco. The results showed that dry matter of leaves, stems and root of tobacco were the highest for granular fertilizer application, which were 2.82%, 2.88%, 15.03%, higher than those of powder fertilizer treatment, respectively, and 2.08%, 3.28%, 11.93% higher than those of solution fertilizer treatment. The relative uptake rates of flue-cured tobacco to N, P, K nutrients were 96.6%, 94.1%, 90.4% for powder fertilizer and 92.5%, 96.3%, 83.5% for solution fertilizer with regards to granular fertilizer.Application of granular fertilizer was more beneficial to the dry matter accumulation and NPK uptake for flue-cured tobacco than the rest two fertilizers. The granular fertilizer should be considered first for tobacco planting in Fujian.
