Abstract:
Anyan No.3 is a new flue-cured tobacco cultivar bred by the pedigree method with 9504, Zhongyan 98 and Yunyan 85 as the parents, and was approved by the National Tobacco Variety Approval Committee in April 2016. The results of many years' field experiments showed that Anyan No.3 was moderately resistant to black shank, bacterial wilt and root knot nematode with uniformity and strong growth potential in the field. In comparison with the control cultivar K326, Anyan No.3 showed better resistance to climate spot disease. The key economic traits, the raw tobacco leaf appearance quality and physical properties of Anyan No.3 were better than K326. In addition, the chemical components and the sensory quality of tobacco leaf were similar with that of K326. Overall, Anyan No.3 is suitable for planting in areas of Anhui, Jiangxi, Hunan and Guangdong Province of China.
