Abstract:
PP2C is a class of monomeric serine/threonine protein phosphatases that are widely involved in multiple signal transduction pathways in organisms. Identification and functional studies of the PP2C gene family have been reported in a variety of crops. In order to ascertain the expression characteristics of tobacco PP2C gene family members under different rainfall conditions, the expression of PP2C family genes in tobacco leaves at 40 and 60 days after transplanting was analyzed by RNA-Seq technique through simulated artificial quantitative irrigation in plastic greenhouse and field experiments with different rainfall. The results showed that the expression of 18 tobacco PP2C family genes was significantly affected by rainfall and could be divided into 9 subfamilies. The expression of six PP2C family members decreased with increasing rainfall, and the expression of four PP2C family members increased with increasing rainfall. In this study we have preliminarily identified the types and expression characteristics of the PP2C gene family affected by rainfall in Yunyan 87, providing reference for drought-resistant breeding and drought-resistant cultivation.
