Abstract: In this article we analyze the necessity of strengthening tobacco standardization, as well as the current situation of Shandong tobacco standardization production, and proposes the establishment of a four-in-one closed-loop standardization operation mechanism of "standard system, working instructions, tobacco farmers operation manuals, and assessment methods". Through revision and improvement of the standard system, preparation of working instructions and tobacco farmers operating manuals, standard publicity and inspection and assessment can be strengthened, and the overall level of tobacco production and tobacco quality can be promoted, and tobacco farmers’ income can be increased. The focus of future tobacco standardization work is discussed.
