Abstract:
In order to increase the yield, get tobacco spices with strong roasted aroma, tobacco flavors were extracted by the superheated steam distillation-cracking process integrated technology, the yield, substance composition, aroma characteristics and taste of the steam distillation, cracking process and superheated steam distillation-cracking process integrated technology were analyzed and compared. The results showed that: (1) the yield of steam distillation method was 0.11%, the main substances obtained by steam distillation were neophytadiene (44.88%) and solanone (10.14%). Its aroma characteristics were mainly fragrant and grassy, lacking roasted aroma and burnt-sweet aroma; (2) The yield of cracking process was 1.17%, the main substances obtained by cracking process were nicotine (24.77%), furfuryl alcohol (6.69%), methyl cyclopentenolone (1.14%), etc. The aroma was rich; (3) The yield of integrated technology of superheated steam distillation-cracking process was 10.98%, the main substance obtained by the integrated technology were nicotine (25.84%), Methylcyclopentenolone (7.11%), furfuryl alcoho l (6.72%), 3-Ethyl-2-hydroxy-2- cyclopenten-1-one (5.59%), furfural (4.51%), guaiacol (4.45%), the aroma was more abundant. This technology can obtain tobacco cracking process flavors with different aroma styles, which can be used in heating cigarettes to improve the smoking quality. While greatly improving the yield, it solves the problems of insufficient roasted flavor and excessive burnt flavor with a single extraction method.
