Abstract:
In order to explore the chemical basis for the formation of high-aroma trait in Zhongyan 207, the types and contents of aroma-causing compounds in cured tobacco leaves of Zhongyan 207 and its parents Yunyan85 and 0953 were comparatively analyzed, and the differences with Yunyan 87, the sister variety of Yunyan85, were also compared. The results showed that the contents of 15 components were higher in Zhongyan 207 than those in Yunyan 87, including carotenoid degradates β-damascenone, β-dihydrodamascenone, acacia acetone, 3-hydroxy-β-dihydrodamascenone, 3-oxo-α-viologenol, linalool, maillard reaction products 5-methylfurfural, 2-pentylfuran, 3-acetyl pyridine, maltol, pyranone, cembranoids degradation product solanone, and phenylalanine degradates phenylmethylalcohol, phenylacetaldehyde, and phenylacetalcohol, which could be the reason for good aroma and high aroma quantity of Zhongyan 207. The total contents of carotenoid degradation products, chlorophyll degradation products, maillard reaction products and phenylalanine degradation products in 0953 were higher than those in Yunyan 85 and Yunyan 87, which may be an important chemical basis for its high aroma characteristics. The aroma components of Yunyan 85 and Yunyan 87 have highly similar characteristics. The relatively high content of aroma substances such as carotenoid degradates, chlorophyll degradates, and phenylalanine degradates may be the common substancel basis for the high aroma traits of 0953 and Zhongyan 207.
