Abstract:
The medium material is the foundation of breeding flue-cured tobacco seedling. The experiment was carried out with the method of damp breeding. The relationship of different mediums with seedling physiological metabolism was studied to investigate the theoretical basis for environment-friendly (non-peat) substrate materials. The results showed that when the proportion of charred rice husk and red soil were 7:3 and 6:4 (proportion of bulk) respectively, the ratio of free water and bound water in tobacco seedling was not different with that of common tobacco seedling substrate materials, and they could improve seedling chlorophyll content, root development, seedling root vitality and physiological metabolism coordination. It can be popularized in the production practice of flue-cured tobacco seedling.
