Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of foliar application of molybdenum (Mo) on chlorophyll content, photosynthetic rate, yield and quality of tobacco leaves for four tobacco varieties (K326, Yunyan85, CB-1 and Hongda). The results showed that Mo application could increase leaf photosynthetic rate and chlorophyll content of the four tobacco varieties during early growth stage. Mo application could significantly enhance the percentage of fine and middle grade flue-cured tobacco leaves and decrease the percentage of variegated tobacco, increase yield and output value of tobacco, increase the content of potassium and Mo content of tobacco leaves.
