Abstract:
Reducing labor intensity and increasing economic benefit of tobacco-growing were the purpose of this study. A field experiment was conducted to study application effects of M-wide double ridge on tobacco production. The results showed that the upper leaf area improved by 26.19%, while the middle leaf area improved by 4.99% in topping stage. M-ridge faciliated mechanical operation and improved the efficiency of mulching, and saved plastic film by 22.2%. The yield increased by 149.5 kg/hm2 and saved 5 426.57 yuan/ha. This cropping pattern caused reducing sugar, total sugar, potassium and made chemical composition more harmonious. It was a new cropping pattern, with broad prospects of popularization and application.
