Abstract:
Host specific toxins (HST) produced by plant pathogenic fungus have been studied in some aspects, from fungal species produced HST to HST chemical structure; from test to application; from purification to signal transduction, and so on. In this paper we reviewed the host specific toxin of the plant pathogenic fungus research progresses, which included the fungal species producing HST, HST extraction, purification, test methods, mechanism of action, application prospect in agriculture and the related researches in tobacco. We expect that the HST could be applied to tobacco resistance breeding.
