Abstract:
The changes of aroma type styles and related aroma constituents of five different ecological scale regions of flue-cured tobacco production in China were studied with tobacco leaf aroma index approach. The results showed that the flue-cured tobacco leaves from Dali, Yunnan and Sanming, Fujian were both faint aroma type, though their aroma indices varied significantly, while the leaves from Qiannan, Guizhou and Hechi, Guangxi were both neutral aroma type, the leaves from Nanyang, Henan was full aroma type. The large ecological differences among various regions were the leading factors that influenced leaf aroma type style. The small differences among various counties in one production region would change related aroma constituents of leaves, but not the styles of aroma type.
