Abstract:
This study aimed at optimum harvest method of upper leaves of flue-cured tobacco Honghuadajinyuan in bulk curing barn and scientific basis for extension of Honghuadajinyuan in Liangshan, Sichuan Province. Four treatments consisted ordinary picking method, picking 7 upper leaves, picking 5 upper leaves; and 5 upper leaves with stalk. The effects of different picking methods on appearance quality, chemical components, sensory quality, main economic characters and cost of curing were studied. Results showed that the leaves in the treatment of 5 upper leaves with stalk had more favorable appearance quality, economic characters and chemical composition, the highest score of sensory evaluation, and the lowest curing cost. It is concluded that picking 5 upper leaves with stalk proves optimum for Honghuadajinyuan in Liangshan.
