Abstract:
The changes of total sugar, reducing sugar, nicotine, total nitrogen of 14 redried lamina samples from six provinces of China, Zimbabwe and Brazil between seven and fifty-one months aging were studied. The results showed that the contents of total sugar, reducing sugar, nicotine, total nitrogen decreased gradually with the increase of aging time. Regarding the content of sugar, the redried lamina in South China decreased faster than that in North, and the upper leaves decreased faster than the middle leaves. The greatest effect on sensory quality in aging time was observed in total nitrogen.
