Abstract
To explore the current issues in the process of tobacco plant protection, cause analysis and countermeasures Chenzhou tobacco production was used as an example to study the problem of high incidence of the primary plant diseases and insect pests in the field. Using the brainstorming method of quantitative analysis method, the theory of PDCA lean production, and QC management tool, three key factors were identified incuding the problems of one-time pesticide distribution at tobacco stations, high cost of chemical control, and poor technical guidance. Precision pesticide distribution at tobacco station, biological control with physical prevention and control technology, precise technical guidance, and other countermeasures were proposed and application of which effectively reduced the incidence of leading diseases and insect pests in the field of tobacco. The economic losses of tobacco farmers were reduced. Ecological benefits and tobacco quality & safety were significantly improved. In 2017, the area of biological and physical control technology promoted in Chenzhou tobacco area was 28,000 ha, and the incidence rate of major diseases and insect pests was 2.90%. The economic loss caused by diseases and insect pests of tobacco farmers was 9.4951 million yuan less than that of 2016, and the use of chemical pesticides on pests accounted for only 4.54%.
