    Effects of Bulk Curing with Central Hot Water Heating System Fueled by Liquefied Natural Gas

    • In order to study the effects of bulk curing barns with central hot water heating system fueled by liquefied natural gas (LNG), cultivar Qinyan 96, twenty-five LNG curing barns and coal curing barns were used to investigate the grades, average prices, appearance quality, main chemical components and smoking quality of tobacco leaves after curing and the energy and labor force cost during curing. The results showed that the energy cost of the new LNG equipment was higher than bulk curing barns fueled by coal, but the use of this LNG equipment could improve leaf quality while labor cost were reduced. Bulk curing with central hot water heating system fueled by liquefied natural gas was a new method of tobacco curing.
