Application of Principal Scatter Diagram Analysis in Evaluation of New Flue-cured Tobacco Varieties

Abstract
In order to identify new flue-cured tobacco variety suitable for the ecological environment in Kunming region, 15 traits including agronomic, economic, disease resistance, chemical components, appearance quality and sensory quality of 16 new varieties of flue-cured tobacco from Yunnan, the United States and Brazil were selected, and the main component analysis combined with the scatter plot method was used to evaluate the new flue cured tobacco. Based on the cumulative variance contribution rate of 89.014%, 5 main components representing the comprehensive quality of the new varieties of flue-cured tobacco were identified, and the main composition of the main components of the new varieties was obtained by the calculation, and then the new varieties were evaluated by the scatter plot. The results showed that the comprehensive evaluation scores of PVH2310, AOV405, NCT13 and Yunyan 117 were higher than that of the control K326 and Yunyan 87, and their comprehensive evaluation results were consistent with the performance in the regional adaptability test. These 4 new varieties of flue-cured tobacco can be widely promoted in Kunming region.
