Reflections on the Star Rating of Tobacco Growers in Shaxian, Sanming City

The management of tobacco growers is the key in improving the quality of tobacco leaves. In light of practices employed in the star rating of tobacco growers in Sha county of Sanming city, this study illustrates the preliminary successes in this regard by summarizing in detail the rating process and the subsequent application of rating results. It also uncovers principal problems and proposes a strategy for future endeavors, offering new perspectives for the management of tobacco farmers in tobacco-growing areas.
