Effect of Ionic Titanium on Seedling, Yield and Quality of Flue-cured Tobacco Leaf

    • Titanium is a beneficial element for life. The Anti-hydrolyze stabilized agent ionic titanium (0.4%) was diluted to 800, 1 000, 1200 and 1 400 times, with water as CK, for soaking seed, spraying at seedling and rosette stage. The effect of treatment on tobacco production and quality of tobacco leaf was investigated. The results showed that the titanium ions could promote seed germination, increase root activity, enhance stress resistance of plants and prevent early flowering. The yield and production value of tobacco treated by ionic titanium were significantly or very significantly higher than treated by fresh water as control. The resistance to stress decreased as the ionic titanium was diluted.
