A study on Interaction Effects between Ridge Height and Transplanting Depth of Flue-cured Tobacco Production

    • Using three ridge heights (20, 30 and 40 cm) and three transplanting depths(6, 10 and 15 cm)completely combined, we designed 9 treatments in this experiment, investigated the morbidity of disease during rosette stage, measured the agronomy characters during rosette stage and topping stage, calculated the ratio of middle or high grade leaves, quantity and output value of tobacco leaves, analyzed the contents of total nitrogen, reducing sugar, total sugar and total alkaloids in B2F, C3F and X2F tobacco leaves. The results showed, for morbidity of disease during rosette stage, The treatment (40 cm ridge height and 6 cm transplanting depth) was the lowest (0.67%) and the treatments that had 40 cm ridge height was lower than the other two, The ratio of middle or high grade leaves (81.41%), the quantity (231.69 kg/667m2) and output value (3482.94 yuan/667m2) of the treatment (40 cm ridge height and 10 cm transplanting depth) were the highest, which had significant difference with that of the other treatments. By comprehensive analysis, we suggest the treatment (40 cm ridge height and 10 cm transplanting depth) was prior to the others.
