Fermentation Conditions of Pseudomonas Putida against TMV

    • The bacterial strain A3 with high inhibition to TMV was isolated from healthy tobacco (K326) field. Its culture medium and fermentation conditions were investigated. The results showed that 28 ℃ was the most optimal fermentative temperature for A3 to grow and produce antiviral, and at optimal cultural temperature the amount and antiviral of A3 reached the highest level after 60-70 h respectively. Glucose was suitable carbon-source nutrition for the strain growth, and peptone or yeast was a suitable nitrogen source nutrition as well. The pH 7 was fit for A3 fermentation, and acidic condition was not favorable to the growth of strain A3. Ample air supplied markedly could promote growth and antiviral production of the strain A3.
