    Screening for Optimum Method of Tobacco Pollen Vigor Evaluation

    • With the experimental material of Burley B37 pollen, various tobacco pollen vigor evaluation methods were compared. The results indicated that pollen germination was the best method for identifying pollen vigor. With the formula of 3% glucose, 50 mg/L boric acid, 20 mg/L CaCl2 and 10% sucrose, 50 mg/L boric acid, 20 mg/L CaCl2, cultivating 3 h under 25 ℃ constant temperature, the percentage of pollen germination was the highest. The pollen vigor was 86.8% and 91.3% respectively.
