    Studies on Ceramic Flue Heat Dispersion Systems in Bulk Curing Barn

    • In order to increase durability of heat dispersion systems in bulk curing barns and reduce the facility overhaul, decrease the construction cost and increase the life span of heat dispersion equipments, it is possible to use ceramic flue heat dispersion system with lower cost and more accessible and durable materials to replace the steel flue heat dispersion system, the authors investigated this alternative in Sanming. The results showed that the cost of ceramic flue heat dispersion system was 2 400 RMB yuan lower than that of stell system, and the life span of the ceramic flue system was 6-10 years longer than that of steel system per bulk curing barn. The curing performance, usage cost, and tobacco appearance quality of ceramic flues were satisfied. Therefore, the ceramic flue system has great potential.
