    Quality Difference of Tobacco Leaf from Dry Land and Rice Paddy Field during Aging

    • In order to investigate the quality differences of tobacco leaves between the dry field tobacco and rice paddy tobacco, chemical component and sensory quality were tested. The result showed that the content of total sugar, total chlorine, reducing sugar, nicotine between the dry field and rice paddy was significantly deferent, the sensory quality of rice paddy was better. The canonical correlation of rice paddy between chemical components and sensory quality was mainly caused by nicotine, reducing sugar, total nitrogen,sugar/alkali, nitrogen/alkali, physiological strength, taste strength, and aroma quantity of sensory quality. The canonical correlation of dry field was mainly caused by nicotine, total sugar, reducing sugar, sugar/alkali, and physiological strength, aroma quantity, irritancy and combustibility of sensory quality. The quality of dry field and rice paddy was deferent.
