Abstract
An experiment was conducted to investigate the accumulation of chemical components of tobacco leaves during growth. Varieties used were Jiyan 9 and Longjiang 911. Total nitrogen, nicotine, protein, total sugar and reducing sugar from different leaf positions were tested at every 15 days. The result showed that the component of reducing sugar increased firstly and then decreased. The leaf total nitrogen and protein contents declined with growth.
