Abstract
Allelochemicals are a self-defensive weapon of plants, and the effects of allelochemicals on insect and the adaptation of insects to allelochemicals disclose the plant-insect coevolution. In this paper we summarized the effects of plant allelochemicals on some tobacco-eating insects’ growth, metabolism and enzyme systems. Also we provided our views about how to apply plant allelochemicals to prevent tobacco insects.
