Influences of Leaf superficial secretion be Dipped On Quality Of Flue-cured Tobacco

    • In order to explore the contribution of superficial secretion to the quality of flue-cured tobacco, the mature fresh leaves of K326 were taken as the material, dipped in dichloromethane by the half leaf method. The appearance character, the neutral fragrant components and the smoking quality in the roasted tobacco leaves were analysed. The results indicate that the absence of superficial secretion makes a negative influence on the appearance character. Except toluene, furfural and furfural alcohol, the contents of neutral fragrant components were all reduced. Furthermore, the smoking quality of dipped leaves was worse than the antitheses. The secretion which have been dipped was reverted to the leaves, but the smoking quality was not fully renewd.
