Development and Application of Diagnosis Expert System of Tobacco Diseases

We proposed 25 query symptoms, including root, stem, leaf, whole plant and development, from more than 80 tobacco diseases. Based on Lucid3, a multi-way expert system for identification and diagnosis, we developed a diagnosis expert system of tobacco disease. The diagnosis system integrated lots of multimedia, such as pictures and text description; this strengthened the confirmed diagnosis function. It can run on a CD locally or on-line remotely.
