Current Situation and Further Direction on Research and Application of Bulk Curing Barn in China

The achievements and the current situation of research and application of bulk cuing barn in China were reviewed by summarizing some typical bulk curing barns, the forms of consumed energy, the types of loading tobacco and the curing techniques. The further research direction to improve the quality of tobacco bulk curing were also discussed, such as reducing the cost of bulk curing barns, applying the solar energy and biomass energy, defining the mechanism of bulk curing and optimizing the technology for bulk curing.
