    Application of Thermal Conduction Refractory Material in Bulk Curing Barn

    • The high costs, erosive, short time usage, and maintainance problems of steel furnace cover, radiator, and chimney of bulk curing barn limited the tobacco production. To solve the problems, we tried to use thermal conduction refractory material to replace the steel material. The application results showed that the facility with refractory material had good ignition capacity, heat-supplying capacity, heating capacity, and temperature controlling capability. The improved barn saved 7.4% of the energy, 5.86% of coal, and could be used for more than 10 years. The average price of the tobacco leaves cured in the improved barns increased 0.57 yuan/kg, but the building cost of the improved barn decreased 3 600 yuan.
