Abstract:
To study the effect of land consolidation on farmland ecological value, the Hu-Wan science-technology demonstration garden of modern tobacco agriculture, which located at a small village of South An Hui province, was selected as an example to study the ecological benefit before and after the land consolidation using the method of substitution and market pricing. The results showed that the values of gas regulation, nutrient cycling and water conservation before the land consolidation were 584,600 yuan, 152,000 yuan and 3,500 yuan respectively, the highest value was gas regulation value, and the minimum was water conservation value. After the land consolidation, the three ecological values were all increased, and the nutrient cycling value increased by 62,300 yuan, which was the highest increase; the value-added rate of water conservation value was the highest with nearly 12.5 times. The arable land ecological value increased by 139,400 yuan and the value-added rate was 18.86%. So, the ecological benefit of land consolidation of the science-technology demonstration garden of modern tobacco agriculture on village scale was prominent. And this result will be an important guidance to the effective utilization of tobacco land and the subsequent land consolidation practice in the future.
