Abstract:
In order to find out the mechanism of promoting tobacco growth by the application of stereoscopic seedling nursing and well-cellar transplanting, we studied the effects of four different cultivating patterns on agronomic traits, active oxygen metabolism, hormone concentration, economic yield and chemical quality of burley tobacco. The experimental results showed that stereoscopic seedling nursing combined with well-cellar transplanting showed the most obvious advantages. On the agronomic traits, the new pattern significantly improved plant height, stem diameter, the maximum leaf area and leaf number during the all growing stages. On the physiological traits, the activities of CAT and SOD increased by 53.7% and 17.2%, respectively, and the IAA concentration increased by 17.2% and MDA concentration decreased by 29.3% at the rosette stage. At the mature stage, the activities of CAT and POD increased by 38.7% and 28.2%, respectively. The concentration of MDA and ABA decreased by 35.3% and 31.0%, respectively. On the yield and chemical quality traits of tobacco leaves, the new pattern's yield, output value rate of and medium-superior tobacco increased by 30.0%, 39.1% and 13.3%, respectively, and the content of total alkaloids, the ratio of total nitrogen to total alkaloids, the ratio of total potassium to total chlorine were also significantly improved.
