Abstract:
In order to clarify the main soil nutrient abundance, spatial distribution and temporal changes in the tobacco-growing areas of Nanping, 170 soil samples were collected from the tobacco-growing areas, and the physical and chemical properties (i.e., soil bulk density, pH, organic matter, total nitrogen, available phosphorus and available potassium) of tobacco planting soil were determined in 2018. The temporal variation characteristics of tobacco planting soil nutrients were studied by comparing with the results of soil nutrients in tobacco areas in 2008 and 2014. The results showed that the soil bulk density in Nanping tobacco areas was 0.76-1.61 g/cm
3, with an average value of 1.14 g/cm
3, and the soil bulk density in Jian'ou was the largest at 1.43 g/cm
3. The soil pH was between 4.80 and 6.66, and 46.67% of the soil pH was within the appropriate range. The soil organic matter and total nitrogen content were mainly in the level of medium and rich. The contents of available phosphorus and available potassium were relatively rich. Soil pH and available potassium in tobacco growing areas showed an upward trend, while total nitrogen showed a downward trend in the past ten years, and available phosphorus showed a downward trend compared with that in 2014, which indicated that soil acidification improvement and weight loss and synergistic effects were obvious in the past ten years. The soil organic matter content also showed a downward trend compared with the results in 2014, which may be related to the increase in the continuous tobacco planting years and the decrease of organic materials input in recent years. The soil nutrient characteristics of the 10 main tobacco producing counties (cities) in the Nanping tobacco planting area varied widely and should be regulated through appropriate management measures.
