Abstract:
To find a more effective and green way to control tobacco mosaic virus disease, the combination of pot experiment and field experiment were performed to determine the control effect of 0.02% ICE6 against TMV, as well as the growth-promoting effect on tobacco plants. The results of pot experiment showed that the control effect of ICE6 on TMV increased with the increase of treatment concentration, and the highest control efficiency (73.20%) was obtained when 0.02% ICE6 was diluted with 5000 times. The control efficiency of ICE6 in field trial exhibited the same trend as that of the pot experiment. Meanwhile, ICE6 could significantly increase

Fo values in tobacco leaves, and the values of the treatment with 5000 times diluted solution increased by 16.99% and 46.62%, compared with the control treatment. In addition, ICE6 showed obvious promoting effects on tobacco plant height, leaf length, leaf width and single leaf quality. After application, the tobacco production raised significantly, increased by 9.34% and 21.35% per 666.7 m
2, respectively. And eight chemical components in the ICE6 treated flue cured tobacco increased significantly, especially with the 0.02% ICE6 5000 times solution treatmenst. The above results demonstrated that ICE6 could not only enhance tobacco resistance against TMV, but effectively promoted the growth of tobacco plants as well.
