Abstract:
Main factors effecting mildew of stored flue-cured tobacco strips were studied by an orthogonal design combined with single factor experiment. The results showed that humidity and water content of tobacco strips were the key factors of mildewing. Under RH 70% and water content below 15%, mildew of tobacco strips will not occur. Under RH 75%-80% and water content below 19%, tobacco strips mildewed slightly. Under RH over 80%, or under RH 75% and water content over 19%,tobacco strips mildewed easily and severely.
