Abstract:
In order to understand the characteristics of chloride content of tobacco in Yunnan, the chloride content of flue-cured tobacco in different production areas and varieties were analyzed in this study with 10,190 samples from 12 locations, four varieties in Yunnan from 2004 to 2008. The results showed that chloride contents in most of leaf samples were 1.0-6.0 g/kg, chloride content of 1.0-6.0 g/kg in every part of tobacco accounted for more than 70%, that of less than 3.0 g/kg accounted for over 60%. Chloride content of leaf samples of various parts existed certain difference in different prefectures and varieties. In the whole, the chloride content in Dali and Honghe was relatively high, Pu'er and Wenshan was relatively low. Four cultivars of tobacco in Yunnan, chloride content in leaf of Hongda were significantly higher than the other three varieties. Chloride content in the upper and middle leaf of K326 were significantly higher than that of Yunyan 85 and Yunyan 87. Chloride content of lower leaf were no significant difference among K326, Yunyan 87 and Yunyan 85, the difference between Yunyan 85 and Yunyan 87 of middle leaf was not significant, but that of the Yunyan 85 of upper leaf were significantly higher than that of Yunyan 87 .
