Abstract:
The main aroma substances of flue-cured tobacco leaves C3F in Luoping, Yunnan Province were studied. The results showed that total amount of neutral aroma substances was the highest in the south region, much higher than in the north and central regions, but the lowest in the north regions. The three tobacco growing regions had no much difference in the total amount of organic acid. The north and south regions had higher level of total polyphenol than the central region, especially the north, yet no much difference was observed between the north and the south. Totally 24 aroma substances which belonged to six types were determined, and aroma substance contents in C3F leaves in Luoping were much higher than the mean values in Yunnan and Zimbabwe.
