Abstract:
The labor quantity of flue-cured tobacco production was investigated in traditional tobacco planting and modern tobacco agriculture in Guizhou province. The results showed that the quantity of labor needed 29.81-31.67 md/667m
2 in the process of traditional tobacco planting, but only needed 16.133-17.965 md/667m
2 in the process of modern tobacco agriculture. In the process of modern tobacco agriculture, the quantity of labor decreased by 43.27%-45.89% due to mechanization, intensive farming, and specialization.
