Abstract:
The sensory quality of flue-cured tobacco in Hubei was evaluated, and the relationships between sensory quality and appearance quality, physical property, chemical components were analyzed. The results indicated that the sensory quality of Hubei tobacco performed well, and the total score of smoking evaluation was middle leaf > upper leaf> lower leaf. Sensory quality index was consistent with the total score of smoking evaluation, middle leaf was the highest (0.90), followed by the upper leaf (0.88) and lower leaf (0.86) subsequently. The leaves with the highest sensory quality scores had the best appearance quality. To some extent, the contents of total sugar, total nitrogen and nicotine were relatively higher. In the third group, the thickness and tension of flue-cured tobacco leaves were smallest, while the leaf density was middle, stem ratio and single leaf weight were the highest.
