Abstract:
A new tobacco production pattern: separation of planting from curing, which could separate tobacco planting from curing process, was introduced and demonstrated. By using this pattern, a large number of labors could be released from the intense work. Thus, the labor intensity could be reduced. The other benefits include that curing process could be specialized, and the flue-cured tobacco quality could be guaranteed. Meanwhile, the new production pattern has stimulated the initiatives of the tobacco-farmers, who want to plant tobacco but have no curing facility. So it is an effective planting pattern under the new situation.
