Abstract:
Field experiment was conducted in 2001 at Xiangcheng to test the effects of biotic potassium application on potassium content and economic characters of flue- cured tobacco. The experiment included four treatments, which were given biotic potassium at rates of 15, 30, 45 kg / hm2 respectively. The results showed that compared with treatment 1, treatments 2, 3 and 4 could significantly promote the content of potassium in middle and upper leaves, and in stalk and midrib, increase the gradient of potassium content between midrib and lamina, cause potassium distribute more in stalk, suppling potassium source for middle and upper leaves and increase potassium accumulation. Biotic potassium application could increase yield, weight of middle leaf, the proportion of top class leaf and average price, could increase value per 667m2 significantly.
