Abstract:
Lime and dolomite powder were applied to tobacco-planting soils to study their effects on soil pH, flue-cured tobacco growth, yield and quality. The results showed that applying dolomite powder at the rate of 1 125 kg/ha every second year adjusted soil acidity obviously and improved flue-cured tobacco leaf yield and quality. Application of dolomite powder increased tobacco leaf yield by 117.45 kg/ha, output value by 1 798.05 yuan/ha, the rate of high-grade tobacco leaves by 3.93%, and soil pH from 5.05 to 5.36.
