Abstract:
In order to select high quality burley tobacco varieties, field comparison test of 22 burley tobacco varieties was conducted with comparison analysis on morphologic character, agronomic character, appearance quality, variance analysis on main economical traits including yields, output value, rate of high-class leaves and rate of middle-class leaves. The results showed that morphologic characters of 22 varieties had no significant difference except for leaf surface. Agronomic characters including plant height, angle between stem and leaf, length of bottom leaves, length of waist leaves, length of upper leaves and angle of lateral to midrib of 22 varieties had significant difference. The varieties including Jianzha 80#, Japanese burley tobacco and Ky9 had higher yields, output value as well as rate of high-class leaf than others. The varieties including Burley, Burley Wloski, Ergo, Ky34, Ky56, Stam D23-Nikotinam, White Burley 5, White Burley 2, Burley-2 and select 18# with more leaves had higher rate of middle-class leaves. The index of black shank disease in tobacco field ranged 7.64-63.19, averaging 28.09, and with distance of 55.55. The 22 tested varieties included 13 resistance varieties, 3 moderate resistance varieties, 5 moderate susceptive varieties and 1 susceptive variety.
