Abstract:
By using statistical analysis methods, the physical parameters and sensory evaluation of cigarettes from the same batches of the same trademark were used as materials to analyze the relationship between cigarette weight, draw resistance, ventilation rate and sensory evaluation. Results indicated that the significant indices of physical parameters and sensory evaluation were cigarette weight, draw resistance, filter ventilation rate, total ventilation rate, aroma, off flavor, irritancy and after taste. Stepwise regression equations were built between aroma, irritancy and filter ventilation rate, total ventilation rate, respectively, So were between off flavor and cigarette weight, total ventilation rate, also between after taste and draw resistance, filter ventilation rate, total ventilation rate. All of the equations were significant at 5% level. The variation tendency was similar between aroma, after taste and irritancy, both increased first and then decreased with the increase of cigarette weight and total ventilation rate. However the variation tendency of off flavor increased with the increase of total ventilation rate and decreased with the increase of cigarette weight and draw resistance. Irritancy decreased with the increase of draw resistance. The value of aroma exhibited the highest when cigarette weight, draw resistance, total ventilation rate were 0.749-0.781 g/cig, 996-1089 Pa/cig and 24.6-32.4%, respectively.
