Abstract:
Air translational bulk curing barn was invented by re-arrangement of loading room, heating room and cycling supply air duct of bulk curing barn. Results showed that under the unload condition, the wind speed of same layer and both sides were uniform and stable; the temperature increased more rapidly, while heating rate was 7.04 ℃/h. The comparative test of tobacco curing showed no significant difference occurred between the two types of barns with regard to sensory quality and grading quality of tobacco leaves. However, loading capacity of the new barn increased by 685.5 kg; coal consumption was reduced by 0.25 kg/kg dry leaves. Total energy consumption was reduced by 0.49 yuan/kg dry leaves. Effect of energy saving was evident.
